Job Summary:

Interns will gain hands-on experience from preliminary advance design concepts to production aircraft. This includes detail analysis of mass properties data, weighing the aircraft and other activity that involves the delivery process to the customer. The mass properties group interacts with many disciplines of other engineering groups throughout the development of the program which gives the opportunity to enhance the knowledge of aviation engineering.

Job Responsibilities (may include, but not limited to):

* Perform duties in support of Aircraft Certification which include weighing the actual aircraft as well as completing weight and balance documentation per FAA regulations

* Coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing groups to obtain Aircraft detail weight and balance data

* Analyze technical weight & inertia details using CATIA software

* Usage of Textron Aviation proprietary software to obtain weight and balance data for advance design concepts

Qualifications

Education:

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in:

*

Mechanical Engineering

*

Aerospace Engineering

Position Requirements:

Professional and diplomatic demeanor

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

*

Basic CATIA Knowledge preferred

*

Capability to lift 30 lbs required for production support

*

Strong analytical and problem solving skills
