What does an Accounting Administrator I do for Allegiant?

To assist in the completion of the day-to-day operations for the Corporate Accounting Department and facilitate communication between vendors and the company. Assist in creating a positive team environment and be a responsible, dependable employee. This
position requires the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.

What are some of the daily duties of an Accounting Administrator I?

· Process payables or receivables in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles using data entry

· Work with all areas of the organization to ensure proper coding and handling of invoices

· Ensure proper documentation and verify approval/authorization limits

· Work with vendors to resolve discrepancies and any other issues that may arise

· Match & mail accounts payable checks

· Account reconciliation

· Cash application and reconciliation

· General Ledger posting journal entries and month end close

· Gather vendor information for 1099 processing

· Maintain files, including filing of general ledger journal vouchers, accounts payable/receivable documentation and other miscellaneous filings

· Answer and direct incoming departmental calls appropriately

· Other duties as assigned

What are the minimum requirements to be an Accounting Administrator I?

· Education requirements – High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.

· Work Experience – Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable experience – minimum one (1) year.

What other skills, knowledge, and qualifications are needed to be an Accounting Administrator I?

· Basic computer skills; Microsoft Excel proficiency a plus

· Attention to detail is essential

· Team approach and a positive attitude

· Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen

· Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986

What are the physical requirements of an Accounting Administrator I?

· Primarily indoors; Office setting

· Fast-paced environment
