Position Summary:               Receives and processes vendor invoices for payment. Provides assistance in other areas of the department as assigned.


Areas of Accountability/Essential Functions:

  • Reconciles monthly vendor statements and request invoice copies, if required
  • Ensures that invoices to be paid are approved by authorized Company officials
  • Analyzes data to ensure bills are paid appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Enters billing information into ACCPAC BPI Plus Accounting System
  • Communicates with vendors to resolve issues
  • Prints and balances weekly payables reports
  • Maintains organized and updated vendor files
  • Completes accounting research projects as assigned
  • Works with vendors as needed
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet regular deadlines
  • Ability to communicate professionally in both oral and written formats
  • Computer proficiency; use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Programs
  • Quick and accurate 10-key and typing skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to minimize errors through a strong attention to detail


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous training, education, or experience in related field
  • Previous accounts payable experience required (General Ledger Experience)
  • Previous experience using ACCPAC or similar software a plus
  • Previous customer service experience preferred; previous Airline experience a plus

 Working Conditions/Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent sitting, writing, typing, filing, use of standard office equipment
  • Occasional standing, reaching, climbing stairs, kneeling/crouching, lifting up to 30lbs without assistance
  • Office environment; quiet to moderate noise level

Other Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
