Qualifications:

  • Understanding of payroll functions preferred.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, and quarterly/annual tax reporting requirements.
  • Related accounting college curriculum courses, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong Excel and Word experience required.
  • Electronic time-card program experience helpful.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems helpful.
  • Excellent attention to detail, able to work independently, and has time management skills.
  • Communicates clearly, both written and verbally.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Able to actively promote and personally observe safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.

Responsibility:

  • Review hourly time-cards for processing payroll.
  • Assist the Payroll Lead as necessary to complete payroll and tax reporting by required pay dates.
  • Assist current and previous employees with questions regarding payroll, hours, and pay stub viewing.
  • Complete requests for current and previous employee information from outside agencies.
  • File and maintain employee records and payroll documents.
  • Maintain list of authorized drivers for insurance purposes.
  • Other duties assigned by the Finance Controller.
