Job Description

Reporting to the People Resources Manager-Administration and Training, the primary responsibilities of the Administrator-Leave of Absence (LOA) include, but are not limited to, providing quality customer service to our team members by processing all LOA request; maintaining accurate records; researching and resolving LOA issues, compiling data for audits and developing positive relationships with team members, leaders and internal business partners.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Consult with team members on available leave of absence options.
  • Process LOA requests and the return to work process according to company policy, collective bargaining agreements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze LOA claims, including FMLA, to determine eligibility and certification in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Communicate and coordinate all leaves with the necessary department heads, administrative personnel, supervisors, and directly with team members as appropriate.
  • Maintain contact with team members on leave to monitor progress and encourage prompt and successful return to work.
  • Effectively work with department heads, managers, and supervisors of employees on leave.
  • Communicate with management on potential trends or areas of concern.
  • Audit leave of absence and other departmental information.
  • Support ExpressJet's electronic personnel records system through scanning and electronically filing.
  • Acts as liaison with ExpressJet's third-party unemployment insurance administrator by providing requested employment information and records, as needed.
  • Provides front desk and switchboard relief coverage, as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the People Resources Manager-Administration and Training.
Requirements

Required:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience with general leave regulations and policies a plus.
  • Analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Accountable and confidential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
