Position Description

The Painter Tech III position processes and applies military and industrial paint applications to customer hardware under the supervision and direction of department Cell Lead.
Position Requirements

Demonstrate the ability to communicate in English verbally and written.

Basic Math skills – equivalent of 8th grade math or elementary algebra.

Exhibits strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.

Ability to understand paperwork (job router).

Demonstrates the ability to paint customer hardware using various military and industrial paints and follow quality procedures.

Ability to use basic paint tools such as paint guns, washers, mixers, etc…

Understand and use precision measuring tools and gauges.

Understands paint formulations.

Understand painting process; ovens, temperature, humidity, air pressure, materials.

Understand stripping processes; plastic media, chemicals, etc…

Ability to troubleshoot and engineer parts for proper processing as required.

Handling of customer hardware using proper methods.

Ability to cross-train.

Ability to handle hazardous material and understanding of proper disposal of waste.

Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department team lead.

Use of proper respirator is required.
Adheres to company policies and practices.

Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
6 year’s work experience in related field.
