Overview:

Triumph Structures Long Island, LLC – Westbury, NY is a build to print manufacturer of machined airframe components for the commercial and military aircraft industry. We are seeking a Aerospace Painter with experience in the aerospace industry. Following is an overview of the position and you are encouraged to apply if this is a match to you background.

Coats surface of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective or decorative materials such as paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, dope, or stain using spray gun.

Responsibilities:

Selects and mixes coating material; coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer using brush or roller. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Major Accountabilities:

1. Ability to read route card and follow instructions contained therein.
2. Mix mil-spec paint as specified on the Route Card or Manufacturer’s directions.
3. Perform processing as detailed on the Route Card.
4. Apply coatings to specified requirements.
5. Record data as noted on Route Card.
6. Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment.
7. Maintain paint log as required.
8. Maintains a safe working environment by utilizing safety applications and keeping all work areas clean.
9. Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive attitude.
10. Ability to apply gloss topcoats to workmanship standards is mandatory.

High school diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of related experience. Post high school coursework or professional certification preferred.
