Job Description

The Systems Engineer will join Attack Helicopter Sustainment (AHS) Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT). The Systems Engineer will be a member of the design for supportability team for the United States Government and International Apache and Little Bird programs.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Review aircraft configuration changes to identify impacts to the support elements 
  • Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle and will support the Apache Helicopter Sustainment team with technical responses and customer technical inquiries 
  • Manage requirements across the elements of Integrated Product Support.
  • Author technical requirements and technical approaches during the acquire phase
  • Provide support transitioning the proposal to execution and will provide support to mitigation of technical risks, issues, and opportunities after contract award

Qualifications 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor of Science degree

 

 

Preferred Skills

 

  • Fluent in the use of Microsoft (MS) Office Tools and able to independently produce PowerPoint briefings, MS Project schedules, MS Word Documents, and generate and manipulate Excel files
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering principles to solve engineering problems, creating process-driven documentation, writing and deriving formal requirements, managing project requirements, and producing task schedules 

 

 

Typical Education and Experience

 

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

 

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
