JOB SUMMARY

 

Build, install, and modify new aircraft interiors. Perform final assembly of interior systems and mechanical assemblies. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

 

  • Utilizes Embraer approved technical data to determine proper installation scheme, including quantity and materials needed to complete interior parts.
  • Performs composite / fiberglass adjustments on a variety of interior components.
  • Basic sheet metal trimming / fabrication of parts.
  • Cleaning of interior parts.
  • Installation & adjustment of aircraft seats.
  • Remove and adjust decorative materials on interior parts including but not limited to fabrics, tedlar, matting and kydex.
  • Prep for paint, priming and painting of aircraft interiors.
  • General repair items including filling and fairing, bonding and sealing, replacement of seals, nutplates, rivnuts, inserts and ferrules.
  • Be proficient in the use of air powered hand tools and related equipment.
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend computer based aircraft build manuals, engineering repair orders and related drawings.
  • Completes all required documentation for work performed legibly and accurately.
  • Complies with company process plans, computer diagrams and company policies (SOP) when performing job duties.
  • Basic sheet metal and composite repairs.

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

Education:

  • High School/ GED
  • Corporate Jet Interior experience preferred

 

Experience:

  • Journeyman Technician Role requiring Intermediate Skills to perform most of the standard tasks within the technical area assigned to.  
  • Prefer 2 or more years of experience in aircraft interiors.                                                                                   

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:                                  

  • Ability to interpret and comprehend computer based aircraft manuals, repair orders, and related blueprint drawings.
  • Composite experience desired.
  • Ability to work different shifts and flexible hours if required.
  • Be proficient in the usage of air powered hand tools and related equipment.

 

Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements

 

  • This position requires extensive standing, bending, kneeling depending on work being performed.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required.
  • Must be able to work in Hot/Cold – Indoor/Outdoor.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Must be able to do work above head.
  • Must be able to work at heights.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to climb.
