Compass Airlines is seeking an Aircraft Records Technician to join our team at our Minneapolis, Minnesota – Headquarters location. We are looking for an innovative and technical individual, with exceptional business judgment, as well as the initiative and competence to make a significant contribution to the Compass organization.

Job Purpose:

Maintain aircraft, engines, and component records in accordance with company and federal regulatory requirements. Assist internal and/or external departments and customers with records requests. Convert original aircraft records into digital format for archiving and retrieving. Conduct review of hard copy records and monthly audits. 

Job Description:

Verify required aircraft paperwork that has been reviewed by an inspectorReview aircraft records for completeness and accuracy upon receiptScan and retain all historical records of airframe, components, and enginesVerify scanned documents were properly scannedProperly index and file Major Alteration, Major Repair and Airworthiness Directive paperworkConduct daily audits and verification of records to ensure accuracy and integrity of paper and electronic files before discarding any type of documentMaintain aircraft, engines, and component records in accordance with regulatory requirementsResponsible for initiating Record Error Notices (REN) and follow through for closure of any corrections required within a prescribed time framePurge aircraft, engines, and component records in accordance with company requirementsManage all company and regulatory requirements for documentation of preventative maintenance, inspection, repair and/or overhaulResearch component history/location in computer based tracking system (Maximo)Provide summaries/reports of data as requested by internal departments or external vendorsProvide support to external agencies, companies and internal departments regarding requests and auditsProcess heavy check paperwork for repair vendorAccomplish monthly self-auditsCreate and recommend new processes to improve the accuracy and integrity of the records systemGenerate periodic status summaries and recommendations to the Manager of Records, and/or his/her designee for the continual enhancement of the records system processSupport leasing company or auditing agency representative during audits, lease returns, etcCreate monthly and annual inspection reports for leased aircraftPrepare records for transfer upon return of aircraft to lesser or designated representative
