Compass Airlines is seeking an Aircraft Records Technician to join our team at our Minneapolis, Minnesota – Headquarters location. We are looking for an innovative and technical individual, with exceptional business judgment, as well as the initiative and competence to make a significant contribution to the Compass organization.

Job Purpose:

Maintain aircraft, engines, and component records in accordance with company and federal regulatory requirements. Assist internal and/or external departments and customers with records requests.  Convert original aircraft records into digital format for archiving and retrieving. Conduct review of hard copy records and monthly audits.

Job Qualifications:

Required:

  • US Citizen or have the legal right to accept employment in the United States
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Strong Computer software skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Detail-Oriented with ability to multi-task on a regular basis

Preferred

  • Knowledge of aircraft records requirements and processes
  • Familiar with scanning and optical imaging software
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Job Specifics:
  • Review aircraft records for completeness and accuracy upon receipt
  • Scan and retain aircraft maintenance records
  • Verify scanned documents were properly scanned
  • Maintain aircraft, engines, and component records in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Purge aircraft, engines, and component records in accordance with company requirements
  • Provide summaries/reports of data as requested by internal departments or external vendors
  • Accomplish monthly self-audits
  • Support leasing company or auditing agency representative during audits, lease returns, etc.
  • Other tasks as defined by the Aircraft Records management

Work Environment:

  • Work area is office based at Compass Headquarters, Minneapolis, MN.
  • Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
