Trans States Holding is seeking an Airline Operations Evaluator/Auditor to join our team at our Minneapolis, Minnesota – Headquarters Compass Airlines location. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Trans States Holdings Safety Department employs Auditors for the Internal Evaluation Program supporting the subsidiary airlines to perform audit/evaluation functions for all operational areas (Flight, Inflight, Dispatch, Ground Services) of the subsidiary airlines. The Internal Evaluation Auditor duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform in-depth audits and evaluations as part of an ongoing Internal Evaluation Program to assess the adequacy of systems, processes and controls in operational areas at the subsidiary airlines to include Flight Operations, Dispatch, Crew Scheduling, Training and Customer Service functions;

• Identify, record and process findings, concerns and recommendations with substantiating evidence of substandard processes and/or performance;

• Conduct extensive research into existing company systems to assess where gaps exist that may lead to safety, quality or regulatory deficiencies;

• Audits and Evaluations will include interviews with individuals at all levels of the organization in order to determine how well the current systems are working. This will include in-briefing and out-briefing sessions to management upon completion;

• Perform validation inspections of previously identified issues to determine if the corrective actions are effective;

• Develop audit/evaluation checklists based on SAS, ATOS, DoD, IOSA and company requirements;

• Review past Audits, Evaluations, Voluntary Disclosures, findings, trends, employee reports, etc. to determine additional audit/evaluation criteria;

• Use of the Q-Pulse system to conduct Audits, Evaluations, Validation Inspections and Process findings;

• Analyze trends within the airlines to prevent recurrence of safety related events;

• Maintain a working knowledge of all FAA regulations, IOSA standards, and SAS requirements;

• Conduct Special Evaluations when necessary;

• Coordinate findings, concerns, and recommendations with the Directors of Safety from each airline to ensure consistency.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 1 year of airline experience in an operational discipline

• US Citizen or have the legal right to accept employment in the United States

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency

• Possess strong professional written, verbal and interpersonal skills

• Must be able to work with a variety of personalities and conduct professional interviews

• Ability to organize own work, while working under pressure to meet tight deadlines

• Must be detail oriented

• Ability to maintain professional conduct at all times

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Must be a self-starter

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Airman Certificate Preferred

• Flight Deck knowledge or experience, highly preferred

• Prior Auditor Experience

• Associate’s degree or higher in aviation or safety related field

• Q-Pulse system exposure

• Safety Management System (SMS) Familiarity

• IOSA familiarity

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Schedule is full-time Monday – Friday, 40 hour work week, with flexible work hours between the hours of 0700 and 1800

• Non-standard hours to include nights and weekend hours when necessary

• Must be willing to travel

• Office work to prepare audits and process audit results

• Field work for actual auditing activities
