Summary/Objective:  
A Sun Country Airport Passenger Assistant is a front-line, customer service position that assists customers with special needs, including those who use a wheelchair. This job is an hourly position. To be consistent with current brand, this position must not solicit or accept gratuities. 
Primary Responsibilities
Passengers with Disabilities      
  • Expedite passenger wheelchair service to/from all points within MSP. Will assist with:
    • Arriving/Departing/Connecting passengers
    • To/From Curbside
    • Through the TSA Checkpoint
    • Claiming luggage / To Ground Transportation
  • Lead aisle chair transfers and direct transfer team
  • Attaching tags to checked and carry-on bags
  • Assist minors traveling alone consistent with all UMNR policies
  • Assistance with Service Animals as required
  • Complete required paperwork (WHCR, UMNR, other as assigned)
  • Completes wheelchair inventory and repair reporting
  • Cleans wheelchairs
  • Interacts in a friendly, respectful manner without passenger complaints
  • Meets appearance and uniform standards
  • Other duties as assigned by MSP HHH Leads or management

Required Education and Experience:
  • 4 year customer service experience, 2 years college preferred
  • Pass all federally mandated drug and criminal history mandated requirements
  • Available weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work after normal work hours
  • Wear and communicate using a radio
  • Ability to learn and comply with all 14CFR Part 382Regulations and SCA Policies/Procedures
  • Work safely under Pressure
  • Adapt to operational changes
  • Friendly, personable customer service skills  -  working with a diverse staff/customer base
  • Must work well unsupervised with strong time management skills
  • Comfortable interacting with people with disabilities and Service Animals
  • Meet all reliability and performance standards
  • Qualified candidate must pass a criminal history background check
  • Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines
