The Regional Manager(s) of Airport Planning is responsible for the procurement, construction, and efficient operation of company properties & facilities, as assigned by the Director.  The regional manager will represent the company and advance company goals.  Success in this position will be measured by the availability of assigned properties and facilities to support efficient and effective company operations attaining the lowest possible costs.

  • Identifies key issues and develops strategic business solutions to properties and facilities issues at assigned airports.
  • Negotiates with airport executives, local governments, and other airlines to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Liaises with consultants/vendors/contractors and Company stakeholders to achieve properties and facilities goals, as assigned.
  • Represents company at airport affairs committee meetings at assigned airports and works to advance company’s goals.
  • Prepares analyses of airport rates and charges; prepares budget projections and cost distributions for assigned leasehold space; seek opportunities for increased efficiencies and improved customer service.
  • Reviews and negotiates assigned properties and facilities agreements; develops summary of salient terms and conditions; assists with compliance with terms, conditions, options and notice requirements.
  • Manages, directs and supports company’s facilities expansion and renovation projects, as assigned.
  • Manages, directs and supports company’s station ground handling functions.
  • Manages and trains Properties and Facilities Representative and develops performance objectives.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Develops improved procedures for more efficient properties and facilities operations.
  • Monitors airport industry developments and channels information for review.
  • In conjunction with Safety and Security department, identifies deficiencies and develops corrective strategies for ground safety related issues.

     

     

     

     

     

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Legal or Business related or equivalent experience
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Experience with airport affairs and properties and facilities issues, including familiarity with legal documents
  • Departmental and capital budget preparation and implementation experience preferred
  • Preferred Certification in A.A.E. Program  (Accredited Airport Executive) or as Certified Member

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Professional demeanor with the ability to model and motivate dedication and support for Company goals.
  • Solid analytical and effective negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills evidenced by the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees and representatives of other airlines and airport management.
  • Ability to define problems and work through solutions in a team building, non-threatening manner.
  • Highly ethical and trustworthy leader that will represent the Company to critical external audiences.
  • Ability to travel on Company supported initiatives up to 60% of the time
