AME Inspector/Maintenance Control Technician

Inspection

Inspect aircraft and systems on as needed basis only;

Perform conformity inspection (if requested) on repaired aeronautical products;

Participate with scheduled heavy maintenance and support all heavy maintenance visits of aircraft;

Assist in the generation of W/Os in preparation for Heavy Mtce maintenance activities;

Review and close Work Orders to status 89 when completed;

Provide support for any engineering work, for repair, modification or new system installation (inspection, photos, sketches, measurements, communication, and estimation);

Carry out check on Company tooling (maintenance, avionics and NDT). Maintain quarantine stores (maintenance and avionics);

Assist (if required) to issue W.O. for any aircraft discrepancy;

Assist on Weight and Balance to prepare W/B report to send it to designated departments;

Upon request, assist to perform inspection and certification on all life preservers in accordance with manufacturer recommendations;

Check aircraft cabin safety cards and ensure they are up to date;

AME

As requred, daily inspections, pre-flight and post flight activities to ensure aircraft airworthiness and on-time departures;

Complete any related work order entries in a timely fashion;

Review and validate MSP/Smart Parts/Warranty programs;

Provide AOG support when required;

Ensure that when applicable only approved equipment and materials are utilized and a high standard of workmanship is maintained;

Maintenance Control

Ensure aircraft assigned for review are maintained in accordance with all Manufacturers and Company recommendations and regulations;

Evaluate airworthiness directives for all aircraft types;

Review and update Weight and Balance and equipment list;

Review journey log books upon aircraft arrival for any discrepancies. Check crew time entry for accuracy;

Review and update MEL release information board;

Verify maintenance releases of acft as assigned;

Update all other technical logs (airframe, engine and modification);

Update all maintenance tracking systems as required;

Evaluate service bulletins, service information letters, and airworthiness directives for applicability;

Send tools for calibration with appropriate paperwork when required; Check and update tool tracking system (including all other Execaire Sub Bases of the region);

Will have completed all Transport Canada exams and hold a valid AME license category M2 with 5 to 10 YEARS experience;

Sound troubleshooting skills;

Computer skills to enable interrogation and downloading of information from aircraft and their engines utilizing a laptop PC;

Previous experience in Corporate Aviation
