Description *This position is contingent upon contract award.* Job Summary: Responsible for all technical maintenance operations in assigned area to include planning, staffing, implementation, production, quality, and safety in support of military tactical aircraft systems. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate all activities with Site and/or Program Manager.
Direct the efforts of all assigned personnel that provide maintenance, modification and repair of aircraft systems and other contract services.
Makes recommendations and coordinates technical support matters concerning manning, fielding, management, utilization and performance of assigned field teams with supported units.
Evaluates technical contract delivery order requirements and performance on a continuing basis to ensure required personnel, material, equipment and facilities are available to meet the technical and tactical requirements received from the customers’ and/or their assigned representatives.
Ensure that all actions and procedures in support of the aviation maintenance operations are carried out in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and the Statement of Work in an effective and timely manner.
Must be able to perform tasks specified in Contractor's Standard Operating Procedures Manual as required.
Is required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of ISO 9000 principles and working knowledge of lean/six sigma.
Excellent oral/written communication skills.
Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook).
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA requirements as they relate to this site.
Knowledge of ergonomic practices and principles.
Must possess or able to obtain a Secret Security clearance.
Experience and Education:
Must have a Bachelors’ Degree, two years’ experience may be substituted for each year of Degree requirement, or a minimum of eight years’ experience in maintenance, modification and repair of tactical military aircraft systems of which at least five years is supervisory experience.
Prior supervisory/manager experience as a production manager of a multi functional workforce at entry level.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is required.
Inspector Authorization (IA) preferred.
Completion of a U.S. military tactical aircraft maintenance or technical school is desired.
