POSITION SUMMARY
 
Are you interested in becoming a part of an innovative in-house maintenance facility working on private aircraft? Do you have what it takes to provide exceptional customer service?  If so, Flexjet may be the place for you!

Flexjet is currently looking for an experienced, certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to join our team! This position will be a combination of an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician and Line/Service Ramp Service Agent for our Company Aircraft at our Private Terminal in Naples, Florida!  The responsibilities of this role will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot, and make repairs including airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems. In addition, this position will also serve as the primary contact for crew members as a Line Service Technician on a daily basis by providing aviation ground support services including, but not limited to: baggage/cargo handling, lavatory/potable water service and maintenance, ground support equipment operation, and maintenance. This position will report directly to the General Manager.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Line Service Technician (60%)
  • Provide world-class service during every interaction with our crew members and clientele to maintain long term relationships   
  • Marshal aircraft in and greet clientele and crew members in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Provide appropriate continuous assistance as necessary to ensure good customer relations with crew members and clientele
  • Park and store or properly secure all parked aircraft at all times and direct the movement of aircraft and vehicular traffic on the ramp including the FBO facility and hangars
  • Service aircraft with all supplies and materials, including fueling, which may be required by the aircraft
  • Maintain, clean and organize ramp, hangars and facilities keeping all free of debris and clutter
  • Accept and control checks of fuel received into site operated fuel storage system(s)
  • Perform fuel quality tests on applicable equipment in accordance with ATA form 103
  • Assist all aircraft crews and passengers by providing various services they may desire and aid in boarding and deplaning of passengers, baggage, and cargo
  • Transport crews and passengers to local hotels and/or airport terminal as needed
  • Operate vehicular (fuel trucks, tugs, baggage handling) and ground radio equipment
  • General cleaning of aircraft as needed or requested
  • Perform periodic checks of all equipment and facilities and document findings
  • Initiating emergency response procedures when required
  • Perform various lawn care and janitorial services to ensure a pleasant and clean work environment and guest waiting areas
  • Contribute and participate in any customer appreciation and promotional events, such as birthdays or anniversaries
  • Comply with all airport authority rules and regulations including AOA operations and airport security requirements.
  • Participate in continuous training including NATA programs and company designed curriculum
Aircraft Maintenance Technician (40%)
  • Perform maintenance on company aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA/JAA regulations
  • Successfully work with internal and external vendors to resolve complex aircraft issues
  • Train employees in the performance of duties in area of specialization as directed by lead and/or supervisor
  • Troubleshoot and perform complex repairs on aircraft systems including, but not limited to pressurization, air conditioning, and engine components at on-site and off-site locations
  • Perform complete engine runs on Company aircraft as applicable
  • Provide time estimates as required
  • Document work performed per appropriate manuals including, but not limited to, Structural Repair Manual (SRM), Maintenance Manual and Component Maintenance Manual
  • Operate ground support equipment including, but not limited to tugs, jacks, nitrogen servicing and oxygen servicing
  • Provide a list of parts needed on squawks within area of expertise
  • Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license (A&P) required
  • 4 to 6 years directly related aviation experience (corporate aircraft experience preferred), previous FBO experience, fuel handling experience, and customer service experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals and perform DI/RII functions
  • Proven experience with aircraft avionics systems and aircraft systems
  • Thorough knowledge of manuals necessary to perform job including, but not limited to, Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Component Maintenance Manual, Systems Manual, and various technical information necessary to perform job
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status  
REQURED SKILLS
  • Strong working knowledge of FBO operations, customer service principles, and the Flexjet service philosophy
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills are necessary to perform job at the expected level
  • Must have a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Successful candidate must be able to respond calmly and handle many customer demands in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere to anticipate clientele or crew member needs or to resolve problems quickly
  • Candidate should work well in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business  
  • Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs  
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must maintain a valid state driver’s license
  • Basic set of hand tools (the company will provide specialized tooling)  
SCHEDULE:
  • Successful candidate will need a flexible schedule as dictated by aircraft schedules
