Job Description

  • American Airlines is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Financial Analyst in the area of Business Planning for our International Division in Ft. Worth, Texas.
  •  
  • Significant Responsibilities Include:
  • Responsibility for preparing and monitoring of the operational and capital budgets for assigned cities Internationally
  • Coordinating near- and long-term planning activities to ensure consistency and compliance with corporate action plans
  • Determining station manpower and expense requirements based on flight schedules and passenger volume forecasts
  • Advises and assists AA's local airport management in developing functional solutions to operational and cost-related problems, emphasizing reduced cost through improved management
  • Performing feasibility studies on outsourcing to provide upper management with recommendations
  • Coordinating and providing justification for appropriation requests for capital projects using ROI, NPV and cash flow analysis
  • Reviewing spending during the month end close and performing variance analysis following the close
  • Ad-hoc analysis
  • Presents results to senior management

Job Qualifications

College graduates with a concentration in finance and/or accounting or equivalent

A minimum of five years work experience in that field

Corporate Finance and/or Accounting experience preferred

MBA graduates or CPAs are preferred

Strong problem solving aptitude

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to concisely present work

Effective organization and planning skills

Requires travel (20%)

Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language

Excellent  working knowledge of Excel spreadsheet and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience in Hyperion/Oracle database applications is a plus.

Fluency in Spanish is a plus
