  • Using data-driven analysis, develop future and current schedules to maximize revenue
  • Analyze year over year performance relative to economic indicators and adjust market frequencies and timings to increase revenue and profitability
  • Proactively check for flight additions/reductions that will improve profitability and work with revenue department to determine best course of action
  • Analyze competitors’ future and current schedules and implement changes to Hawaiian Airlines proposed schedules to gain marketing/sales advantages
  • Ensure proposed schedules conform to airport access regulations and requirements including but not limited to slots allocation, curfews, operating limitations and gate utilization
  • Analyze on-time performance and recommend block time changes and schedule adjustments as necessary to maintain Hawaiian Airline’s position as the number one on-time carrier in the nation
  • Coordinate with revenue, marketing, sales and operations teams regarding future schedules and projects to ensure conformity with their requirements
  • Support corporate projects and initiatives and continually review feasibility of future schedules
  • Prepare future schedule forecasts based on planning assumptions. Generate and distribute operating statistics to all internal departments for budget and revenue planning purposes
  • Run various “what-if” scenarios, analyze resulting operational data and prepare reports to identify the impact of proposed schedule changes on other departments
  • Bachelor’s degree, with an emphasis in a quantitative or relative discipline. A minimum of two years of work experience in airline scheduling, planning, analysis, operations, passenger or revenue related areas may be substituted for degree requirement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g., Excel, Power Point, Word), with advanced skills in Excel required
  • Strong analytical skills including aptitude for problem solving and constructing logical analytical arguments and creating reports for presentation to senior management
  • Flexibility in adapting to new ideas and approaches in work methods
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple projects in a fast changing environment, balancing multiple “what-if” scenarios, and adhering to deadlines
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy in flight schedules
  • Ability to work in a team environment and with several different departments, each with scheduling needs that often conflict with one another
  • Must be able to construct and communicate objective and logical arguments and rationale for prioritizing elements that led to decisions for finalizing flight schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree, with emphasis in a quantitative discipline or related field preferred
  • Experience in airline scheduling, planning, analysis, operations, passenger or revenue related areas
