Position Expectations 

 

Position Summary

The Analyst reports Daily revenue and Final Monthly revenue to internal JetBlue leadership. In addition, the Analyst will provide enhancements to improve revenue reporting and forecasting accuracy.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily revenue and booking trends and adjusts the revenue forecast appropriately

  • Process flight coupon to calculate and validate revenue numbers

  • Produce annual revenue forecast to support the budget process by compiling various historical data and modeling future trends

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and makes recommendations in support of revenue initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics or relevant field

  • One (1) yearof analytical or quantitative experience

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Experience with analyzing Big Data

  • Experience in array of analysis tools (i.e. Access, Excel, SQL)

  • Experience with Spotfire or other data visualization tools

  • Ability to learn new computer programs and applications

  • Pass a ten (10) year background check (may include credit check) and pre-employment drug test 

  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

    Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Five years of modeling, forecasting, and analysis experience

  • Fluent in SQL coding language

  • Full understanding of the Spotfire business intelligence tool

    Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

  • Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun

    Equipment:

  • Computer and other office equipment

Work Environment:

  • Normal office environment

Physical Effort:  

  • Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently. (Sedentary)
