Description

Join a dynamic and growing team whose focus is business impact and value added. This position is responsible for driving revenue decisions, customer valuation/segmentation and revenue optimization. The right individual will understand and apply best practices from the perspectives of effective modeling/data handling, airline metrics, building business cases, and improving processes and procedures. Opportunities to present data-driven recommendations and results of revenue initiatives to internal stakeholders and senior leadership. Involvement in corporate initiatives, process improvements, forecasting/modeling, and special projects across multiple lines of business. Ability to track relevant details, identify and explain assumptions and impactful factors, and understand big picture are a must.

  • Evaluate business impact for pricing and inventory decisions, including standard revenue management analyses and cross-Commercial considerations
  • Analyze demand, seasonality, customer booking valuation, and other inputs into revenue management system and other commercial processes
  • Continuously improve accuracy of data, reporting, and forecasting quality and processes
  • Perform adjustments to processes, programs, analyses, systems, and reports to maximize commercial impact; make and implement recommendations based on findings
  • Develop simplified rules and automatable algorithms for implementation of commercial and programmatic suggestions
  • Create ad-hoc and automated reporting to provide insight into revenue results and performance tracking for internal customers
  • Design and produce commercial decision making tools to support planning and revenue management teams
  • Participate in special projects or ad-hoc analyses in the commercial area as assigned

 

 

Requirements
  • Proven mastery of analytical tools and thinking including outcome-focused data-driven projects such as retrospective and predictive modeling, statistical and probabilistic evaluations, pattern and exception detection, or financial/economic and sensitivity analyses
  • Experience with a logic-based programming language including direct querying or creation of large datasets (1K-10M); data cleaning and manipulation; data sorting, filtering, joining, and merging
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, particularly related to the visual display of quantitative information
  • Ability to effectively synthesize and draw conclusions from complex data
  • College degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent years of experience in a quantitative capacity

Preferred Requirements

  • 3-5 years of work experience in an analytical role
  • Graduate degree in statistics, data science, actuarial science, operations research, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline
