Description
  • Analyze demand, seasonality, customer booking valuation, and other inputs into the revenue management system
  • Evaluate accuracy of revenue management forecast, adjusting system inputs and settings to improve accuracy
  • Create ad-hoc and automated reporting to provide insight into revenue results
  • Collaborate across pricing, revenue management, and planning departments to develop decision making support tools
  • Incorporate new data sources into existing reports and databases
  • Analyze business impact from pricing and inventory decision
Requirements
  • Experience with revenue management concepts (preferably work experience in RM related role)
  • Experience developing methodologies and tools to measure revenue management system forecast accuracy
  • Experience building automated reports and dashboards using MS Excel with VBA Macros
  • Expertise using analytical tools, including spreadsheet modeling, statistical analysis tools, and other computational software
  • Understanding of relational database architecture and the ability to merge large data sets from disparate sources
  • Experience writing queries using T-SQL and understanding database management techniques using MS SQL Server (e.g. indexing, views, dynamic sql, stored procedures)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, particularly related to the visual display of quantitative information
  • College degree or equivalent years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of work experience in an analytical role, or graduate degree in economics, operations research, computer science, statistics or similar quantitative discipline
  • Experience programming in Python, R
