Analytics Specialist- OAP

The Operations Analysis and Performance (OAP) team provides analytical support across all major operational areas of the company. OAP is seeking an Analytics Specialist to join the Centralized OAP team which provides analytical support for cross-divisional operations and customer experience analyses. We are seeking talent with exceptional analytical ability, who is data curious, and has experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
The successful candidate will:
Lead cross-divisional operational and customer experience analyses to identify actionable insights from which leaders can draw meaningful conclusions, allowing them to make data driven decisions and understand drivers of performance.
Identify opportunities to create new metrics, tools, or reporting that support continuous improvement within Delta's operation and customer experience environment
Possess a broad understanding of Delta's entire operation
Collaborate with multiple divisions within and outside of Ops
Lead facilitation and creation of C-level corporate decks and reports
Have responsibility for corporate goal setting analysis and process management
Oversee program management for the Delta Pulse customer survey platform and vendor relationship
Contribute to an environment of creativity and learning to ensure fundamental knowledge processes, skill sets and capabilities are maintained, documented and perpetuated long term
Be accountable for accuracy of highly visible content and asserts quality decision making in order to meet deliverable requirements
Have experience leading large-scale projects involving vendor partnership management
Practice safety-conscience behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Business/Management, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics or other relevant quantitative field required and 5+ years of experience in analysis, information science, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field OR Masters degree and 3+ years relevant experience required. Previous airline experience preferred. Track record of seeking leadership roles including student and community organizations preferred. Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings and frequently presenting to leaders. Must be performing satisfactorily in current position. Successful candidates will have an advanced level of understanding and experience with most, if not all, of the following:
- SQL, SAS, R or other database interface tools and languages.
- Visual Basic, Perl or other basic functional programming tools.
- Statistical analysis and modeling including Linear Regression, Segmentation, non-linear predictive (e.g. Logistic) regression and machine learning.
Project management experience with large-scale, cross-functional projects required.
