POSITION SUMMARY
Flexjet is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our Procurement Department as an AOG Buyer. Overall, this position will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day (24x7) operational, problem-solving and decision-making support, to ensure the tactical and strategic execution of part support for the Maintenance department.

The AOG buyer will provide technical assistance in determining requirements, procurement and movement of parts. Coordination and problem resolution with internal and external resources to achieve resolutions, thereby reducing aircraft ground time, flight delays and cancellations. This position works closely with the Maintenance Organization and reports directly to the Director of Material Services.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Continuous follow up to ensure supplier and delivery commitments are met.
  • Coordinate internal part movements for AOG situations.
  • Maintain detailed records to include all pertinent information for each request.
  • Communicate updates through reports with various departments.
  • Work as a liaison between Purchasing, Stores, and the Maintenance Operations Control Center.
  • Identify interchangeable parts and update the part catalog to ensure 100% accuracy
  • Must be able to determine part numbers required by maintenance for non-routine and routine work.
  • Parts ordering, parts receiving, shipping, packaging, maintaining inventory control and integrity.
  • Any other projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Two years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous Airline / Aviation Experience.
  • Previous purchasing and/or inventory experience.
  • API CS and NAPM certification desired.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Must possess good decision making skills, good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously with a variety of people, both inside and outside the company.
  • Must be able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to perform very detailed work, with proficiency in analyzing and understanding technical manuals and documents.
  • Candidate should be highly motivated, self-directed, proactive, and have the ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints with a positive attitude.
