Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking a Apprentice Avionics Harness Technician for an opening in Hawthorne, CA. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Avionics Harness Technician you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling high quality/high reliability wire harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies under the instruction of a seasoned Technician. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Avionics for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with their hands. 
Read, interpret and work from drawings, controlled documentation and processes. Self-monitor work progress against area benchmarks to achieve on time product delivery. Record work performed on shop floor management system (ERP). Perform verification of flight hardware and document results in a clear, precise and complete manner. Assist with area efficiency improvement projects. 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years experience using basic mechanical and/or electronics hand tools. 
Associates Degree or Technical Certification. Experience working and collaborating in a team environment. Experience preferred in fast-paced production environment with flight quality hardware. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills. Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy. Participation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related activities, clubs or groups. Computer literate. 
Must be willing to work 1st shift, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed. Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required to perform the functions of this position.
