General responsibilities of the position: Assemble engines according to verbal or written instructions. Use fixtures, accessories and standard and special assembly tools to place, fix and seat parts in position according to specified tolerances and procedures. By comparing identification with the pick list, ensure use of the right parts. Visually inspect parts to ensure that they are undamaged.

Set up, adjust and operate low- and high-speed vertical and horizontal balancing equipment. Read and interpret data to determine location and extent of unbalance, as well as location of material to be removed (by manual milling) or added, in order properly balance part. Weigh blades to spread the weight equally. Set up blade riveting machines, center the punch and adjust the angle, height, motion and pressure. Remove rivets in order to disassemble blades.

Disassemble engines according to verbal or written instructions. Use accessories and standard and special disassembly tools to remove stuck or damaged parts. Report unusual conditions or damages.
Measure parts during assembly operations, using an array of precision measuring instruments, and calculate tolerance range. Perform pressure and flow tests.

Visually audit external condition of engine before and after tests. Observe progress and results of assembly operation performed by others in order to witness compliance with standards by confirming results obtained. After completion of task, ensure that documents are properly completed, then signed and/or stamped. Perform final inspection of engine and prepare for shipping by packaging and placing it in the box. Ensure that documentation, backup parts and required preservatives are included. Keep appropriate records of various parameters used to establish efficient operations while maintaining statistical process control.

May be called to perform the simplest operations in order to install and test a limited variety of engine configurations.

Specific responsibilities of position: Participate in the development of new processes, products and redesigns regarding the selection of methods and tools. Wash, preserve, package, identify and move parts so that they meet all standards and specifications. Take items required from the stores and columns and refer all releases and needs of material to the person in charge. Perform maintenance routines to make sure, namely, that fluid levels are adequate, that filters are clean and that the general condition of the machine complies with the checklist. Keep equipment and work station clean and in good working condition.
Participate and share knowledge with teammates regarding the various equipment and tasks.
Perform other duties of equal or less complexity related to duties mentioned above. Refer difficulties to the head of department.

Qualifications required: • Professional degree diploma in mechanical assembling
• Relevant experience: Two to five years in the field of aeronautics;
• Fluent in French (written and verbal) - knowledge of English considered an asset
• Interpersonal qualities: team work and positive attitude
