This is recruitment for an Assistant Chief Pilot working under the Hageland Aviation Services certificate while directly reporting to the Chief Pilot. This position is required to meet regulatory based qualifications for this position as described in FAR119.71. Assumes the duties of the Chief Pilot in their absence or when assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated experience in, and oversight of the following: Instruction/Training, Check Airmen, Lead Pilots and other related staff. Prefer previous work experience in an environment with variable conditions related to extreme cold weather climates. Current in at least one company airplane preferred. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:. Work with Chief Pilot to ensure all pilots are properly and adequately trained in accordance with the FAA approved training program and Company policies. Participate in pilot application reviews and interviews. Participate or conduct exit briefs for pilots. Visit and observe conduct of operations at out stations weekly. Obtain qualification as an ASAP representative for Hageland Aviation. Participate in pilot training, evaluation and administrative process improvements. Participate in weekly Operation’s Safety meeting and monthly Hageland Aviation Safety meeting. Assist the Chief Pilot in monitoring the assignments and scheduling of pilots. Verify all pilots are conducting their flights with safety as the paramount component. Ensure all records required by regulation or company practice are timely delivered to the Director of Training. Periodically review audit reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. Communicate with pilots as directed by the Chief Pilot. Other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot. Position will be based in Anchorage.
