Assist the Manager, Crew Scheduling in leading and supporting a productive and cohesive Crew Scheduling team responsible for the efficient and safe day to day staffing of all Spirit Airlines flights. Deliver industry-leading schedule reliability, productivity and transparency in the implementation of established crew scheduling policies and procedures as required by company rules and union contract requirements., union contract research and resolutions.
Provide logistical support to Crew Resources by way of efficient internal staff scheduling.
Create schedules that ensure 24/7/365 operational coverage within the Crew Scheduling department.
Contractual Knowledge: Able to understand and apply the union contracts for both pilots and flight attendants.
Federal Aviation Regulation Knowledge: Intimate knowledge of all FAR regulations as they relate to the Crew Resources organization. The ability to translate and educate Crew Resources personnel in regulatory interpretations and changes.
Lead the Crew Scheduling team to continuously improve processes, continuity, and transparency to reduce defects and improve workforce commitment.
Provide analysis to the Manager, Crew Scheduling related to crewmember absences, irregular operations, crewmember complaints, and other operational metrics as necessary.
Effectively implement and manage use of crew scheduling software and processes and procedures improving overall efficiency and productivity.
Have a deep understanding of the contractual requirements and FAR regulations.
Knowledge of airline crew scheduling responsibilities from pairing construction to bidding, awarding, day-to-day operations, and payroll.
Able to effectively train and lead cohesive, efficient and effective team managing flight crew personnel around the clock.
Assess and assign additional scheduling staffing during irregular operational events.
Knows CBA language and can interpret all provisions accurately and work with Union representatives to work for mutual interpretation and implementation.
Can use all Microsoft Office products.
Must be a team player, possess superior communication and conflict resolution skills with management, crews, labor representatives and team members.
Must be a natural leader cultivating a positive team effort in group working in a high stress, operational environment.

Education: High School
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Aviation (Preferred)
1 yr or more in a scheduling environment required
Experience: 1-3 years in Aviation (Preferred)
1 yr or more customer service/call center experience (Preferred)
Travel: Up to 10%
