Description

The mission of the Project Management Office (PMO) is to help Hawaiian Airlines achieve its strategic goals by implementing the right projects, the right way, to deliver the right business benefits.

Business Analyst Associates are those who have limited practical experience or maybe new to the role.  Their knowledge base is typically through an advance degree program or other business role.  Typical project assignments are very small in scope and complexity or a small piece of a larger effort.

 

 
  • Works with manager, other business analysts, project managers, and subject matter experts to document project discussions, business requirements, process workflows, business rules, context diagram, and other project deliverables
  • Participates in project status meetings, requirements workshops, and user acceptance testing
  • Attends workshops and training covering project management life cycle, methodology, and business analysis core competencies
  • Participates in review of own work derived from assignments to ensure the information was interpreted and presented accurately
  • Maintains organization within project deliverables as assigned by project team
  • Ensures proper use of standard templates
  • Proactively fosters own career development and works closely with manager to develop business analysis capabilities 
Requirements

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor degree from accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
  • Effective verbal communication skills. Carries conversations with clarity.
  • Strong written communication skills. Conveys information efficiently. 
  • Interpersonal attributes to work in project team environment.
  • Intermediate skill in use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship; must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous work or internship experience in organization of similar size
  • Novice to intermediate skill in use of Microsoft Online including PowerPoint, SharePoint, or Access
  • Airline or related industry experience
