Job Summary:

Responsible for performing technical and administrative engineering tasks to secure and sustain FAA regulations, assist in leading projects to provide continued leadership for systems and equipment integration on aircraft supporting performance and reliability improvements.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare engineering drawings, reports, analyses, correspondence and data to be used for FAA certification of new and existing STC modifications and PMA parts

  • Coordinate FAA approvals of PMA, STC, major/minor design changes and repairs
  • Detail Oriented – Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
  • Interface directly with the FAA in various areas such as aircraft certification, flight standards, manufacturing inspection and continued airworthiness
  • Enthusiasm – Ability to maintain high energy level in every contact
  • Direct meetings and technical presentations
  • Ethical – Ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards
  • Perform checks of drawing quality
  • Friendly – Ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others
  • Oversee drawing release system and filing

  • Maintain engineering files and company records

  • Ability to work on aircrafts electronic and software systems

  • Field and management support

  • Project oversight
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships
  • Lead engineering R&D projects using appropriate personnel and test resources
  • Manage the implementation, coordination and reporting for programs or contracts
  • Interface with company technicians and outside vendors/suppliers to develop product design specifications and optimize production processes


  • Recent AutoCAD experience required
  • Bachelors’ degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Certification a plus, but not required
  • Prefers 7-10 years’ experience in systems and equipment integration and/or design
  • Develop timelines for the program
  • Ability to meet deadlines and budget (project and time management)
  • Proficient computer skills using Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Word preferred
  • Apply technical knowledge and/or programming skills in solving complex problems
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Must know the fundamentals of 14CFR and means of compliance with the regulations
