At some of our airports, the Passenger Service department may utilize Bus Drivers for transportation between the terminal and aircraft. Our Bus Drivers provide efficient and friendly service and have the responsibility of ensuring our passengers, crew and luggage are transported safely. Buses are driven in areas congested with aircraft, as well as moving and stationary vehicles and equipment. Vehicles may have a gross weight of 3,000 to 80,000 lbs. Drivers are responsible for operating vehicles in various weather and visibility conditions.
In this role, the Bus Driver must be able to report to work on a regular and timely basis. The ability to work without direct supervision is necessary in this position.
Minimum Age: 18
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid state driver's license with commercial certification (CDL)
Other license endorsements may be required in some states
Current Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) medical certificate is required where applicable
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Willing and able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, holidays and days off
Possess the legal right to work in the United States
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
One (1) year of previous customer service experience
Previous working experience transporting passengers
Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the Spanish language may be required in some locations
Additional Position Details
Federal law requires Envoy to determine an applicant's history of Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and/or alcohol violation(s) or refusal(s) to test before hiring him/her into a safety-sensitive position; this position may be subject to DOT testing
Must fulfill a fingerprint-based criminal background check to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US customs security badges, in addition to clearing other airport related requirements, if applicable
