Business Development Manager – Los Angeles, United States.

The Role:

Dunwoody Airline Services, are searching for a Business development manager to develop and increase business within the managed territory. You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with your customer portfolio, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders.

This is a highly responsible sales role requiring significant commercial knowledge of the air freight industry.  The role demands a high degree of self-motivation, customer focus, excellent interpersonal skills and a strong entrepreneurial spirit in order to recognise and develop new business opportunities. In return, you will be offered a very competitive salary + benefits.

Requirements:

• You hold the right to live and work in the USA • Proven commercial knowledge of the airfreight industry is a MUST • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with both internal and external customers • Excellent verbal and written skills

Responsibilities to include - 

• Agreement of revenue targets with Sales Director • Developing strategy to meet those targets • Defining own customer call strategy/plan

• Explore and develop new revenue business streams • Manage accurate weekly/monthly revenue performance reporting for your region • Work with the sales director to develop, plan and implement sales initiatives. • Make best use of industry data to maximise revenues • Ensure customer details are kept updated and reflected in all databases • Support the development and delivery of tactical sales and marketing campaigns • Ensure an effective close working relationship with the local ground handling agent.  • Reporting through the sales platform Pulse

Dunwoody Airline Services was established in the UK in 1979 and for 38 years has had a working relationship with British Airways, (now IAG cargo) as a supplier of Ground Handling and General Sales Activities.  Currently in the UK Dunwoody Airlines Services employs over 130 staff, with 35 staff working for the sales side of the business offering sales and customer service activity for IAG Cargo representing the IAG carrier portfolio of British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Vueling and Level.  In August 2016, Dunwoody Airlines Services expanding its business into North America and currently employ 30 staff, and continue to expand in a new market with huge potential for growth.   IAG Cargo is the cargo business for the International Airlines Group. IAG Cargo uses the freight capacity on the network, with three global hubs located at London Heathrow and Madrid and Dublin. IAG Cargo offers freight transportation to more than 350 destinations in over 80 countries.
