SIS-VT is currently seeking a highly motivated, Buyer (Supply Chain) to join our team working in a hands-on, collaborative environment. Responsibilities for this role include:

-Establish and maintain effective communication with suppliers relating to the organization’s quality, delivery, and price requirements.

-Review/determine purchase requirements for production material (electronic components, electromechanical parts, injection molded parts, machine shop raw materials), obtain competitive quotes, and plan/execute purchase orders.

-Liaise with internal customers on required materials and services and translate program schedules into supplier forecast and master production schedule.

-Procure capital equipment for the organization as needed.

-Maintain accurate supplier/purchasing databases manually and electronically as required.

-Communicate discrepancies and resolve disputes between suppliers and the organization.

-Monitor supplier cost competitiveness, lead-times, and on-time delivery performance

Qualification: -Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain processes.
- Advanced understanding of contract structure, business terms and conditions.
- Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Project and MRP/ERP systems.
- Thorough knowledge of Project Management.
- Works well in a team environment, highly motivated.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Strong people / interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Work independently, remain calm under pressure and deal with ambiguity.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the Aerospace industry.
- SAP proficiency.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years related experience
