Maintains Aircraft and Engine logbooks in accordance with contract requirements. Enters required data into the Aircraft Database using provided terminals. Maintains mechanical and manual records required by Contract and as assigned by the management or the Aircraft Logs and Records Leadman. Provides data to Government personnel as required by Contract. May be required to handle hazardous materials in performance of assigned duties.

Be conversant with maintenance and utilization of Naval Aircraft Logbooks and records.

Have a working knowledge of OPNAVINST 4790.2 Series, Volume II, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, other applicable Navy Instructions, Manufacturer Manuals and Company Instructions.

Have a working knowledge of WECMS maintenance data collection system and reports.

Be able to utilize card files and common office equipment.

Must be able to interface with Government Representatives.

Must have basic computer skills and demonstrate ability to type 30 correct words per minute.

Mathematical computation ability required.

Must be able to operate a computer terminal to input and retrieve aircraft/engine maintenance and accounting data.

Must be able to read, speak, write legibly and understand the English language.

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of two (2) years documented hands on specialized experience in maintaining Naval Aircraft and/or engine logbooks, aeronautical equipment service records and associated logs. 2 years documented NALCOMIS/OOMA schools (Course C-555-0053 OR D/E 555-0040 and D/Erequired. The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview. Some travel may be required. Must have a current Government clearance or be able to obtain a Government Common Access Card (NACLC) upon hire.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
