The Project Engineer will work within one or more Integrated Product Development (IPD) team who are responsible for all design and development activities associated with Advanced Engine Demonstration Program. The role is responsible for the execution of the program requirements, including technical, cost, and schedule, as well as ownership of their respective subsystem throughout the design, development and test phases.

The selected candidate will be exposed to the multiple-facets of a development program from requirements coordination to demonstration incorporation, while working in a cross-functional team environment and combination of electrical and mechanical components and subsystems.

The Advanced Engine Demonstration Program subsystems include fuel architecture and actuation, electronic engine control, sensor and electrical accessories, thermal management systems, and pneumatic
architecture and actuation.

* Team Leader for concurrent component and subsystem development, while also providing leadership for supporting Project Engineers.
* Responsible for product design definition and execution, and compliance to Standard Work.
* Requirements and risk management
* Technical Lead for component and system architecture studies, technology readiness and advanced manufacturing techniques
* Ensure the schedule and ensuring that internal and external commitments and milestones are met.
* The position will also entail supplier coordination and supplier engineering oversight.
* Manage design review (internal and external) coordination.
* Subsystem level verification and validation via test readiness, development testing and demonstration substantiation
* Technical writing of reports and proposals
* Coordinate component interfaces and design requirements.

Manages system IPT budget and schedule in accordance with EVMS process and the scope of the project.

Qualification:

* The position requires a minimum of 7+ years of experience with controls component design and development and/or systems engineering In-depth controls experience and a good understanding of both electrical and mechanical, or systems
* The selected individual must have project management experience.
* A suitable candidate will have a track record reflecting strong leadership qualities, motivation and organization.
* Due to military contracts this individual must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain security clearance

Education:

A Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field is required. An advanced degree in engineering and/or business would be a plus.
