Run, set up and edit jobs on manual and CNC Okuma
and Fryer lathe machines.
A. Set up some manual and CNC equipment, ability
to prove out and edit some programs
B. Change cutting tools and adjust machine feeds
and speeds as needed
C. Identify, organize, estimate, and recognize
differences or similarities with excellent attention to detail.
D. resolve problems by making decisions to
correct geometric constraints.
E. Assist in equipment set up to help eliminate
non-conformance and spindle down time.
F. Perform part inspection and in process
inspections for .
G. Setup basic inspection tools, including but
not limited to: Bore gauges, gage blocks
H. Identify and implement opportunities for
process improvement and increased efficiency
* High School Diploma, Tech School/ FAA Airframe
& Powerplant license preferred
* 1+ years CNC
* Aerospace, Okuma and Fryer experience is
* Basic knowledge of machining equipment
capabilities, required maintenance, blueprint reading, knowledge of
* Basic ability to define problems, collect
data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
* Some skills in using measuring tools such as
calipers, micrometers and other inspection gauges
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes related
to the aerospace industry
* Ability to identify, organize, estimate, and
recognize differences or similarities with excellent attention to detail
* Basic ability to set-up and run jobs to
include fixturing, open set-ups and trouble-shoot set-ups
* Ability to lead and develop others
* Ability to perform mid-level math skills
