The UTC Aerospace Systems Co-Op Program is one of the cornerstones of the company's college recruiting strategy. Students hired will represent our pipeline of talent. This program provides an opportunity for a short-term work assignment for students pursuing degree programs directly related to our core business.
Co-Op duties will be focused on key Quality initiatives such as COPQ/SRR Reduction, RRCA, Supplier Quality investigations, processing of non-conforming material. Other duties assigned will be the preparation of reports and analysis to drive continuous improvements.
This position operates 40 hours per week.
Work with Quality Management to improve the inspection process
Assist with inspection current state map
Produce future state
Develop/Post metrics for QCPC, First Pass Yield
Improve process in respect to Government/Customer Source Inspection
Develop process flow to for how Source Inspection is performed
Set up minimum check sheets for inspection process
Develop metrics for source inspection including First Pass Yield
Develop method for posting metrics at station
Work with Clinic Team to improve product flow on Customer Returns.
Work with Clinic Technician to develop Best In Class flow process
Develop/Post metrics for TAKT time, aging, etc. for clinic patients
Produce Clinic Metrics for board outside Clinic
Assist Compliance Quality with Boeing FAI corrections
Track down current documents
Assist with gathering missing data
Produce tracking list of items requiring further investigation.
- Experience with MS Office applications
- Adaptable, effective team player, analytical, highly motivated
Candidate must be currently enrolled in an applicable college degree program, preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Must be currently enrolled in coursework
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours
