Summary/Objective:  This position is responsible for scheduling PSA Airlines Crews.  The Crew Planner must ensure that they are efficiently using the crew members within the limitations of the Federal Air Regulations, labor work rules and company policies.  
 
Essential Functions:  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 
  1. Build crewmember schedules focusing on better utilization and efficiency.
  2. Construct monthly lines of flying for crewmembers’ bidding purposes that comply with FAR and contractual requirements.
  3. Supply software files to the Manager of Dispatch.
  4. Assist in the monthly crewmember bid award process, including union coordination, distribution and web site updates.
  5. Assist in the management of scheduled crew hotels.
  6. Assist in the management of scheduled deadheads
  7. Assist Training department with crew training bids
  8. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Crew Planning.
Competencies and Knowledge:
The successful candidate should have demonstrated skills in the following:  ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment; change advocacy; professional aptitude; multi-tasking and adaptability in an aggressive growth environment.
 
Supervisory Responsibility:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
 
Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
 
Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 
 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb up and down stairs; lift weight up to 25 lbs; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
 
Required Education and Experience:  1-3 years’ experience in Crew scheduling.Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs with a focus on excel. Associates Degree or equivalent experience.  Aviation background preferred.  Proficient with written and verbal communications.
