Summary/Objective:  The DCA Base Administrative / Flight Operations Field Support team member plays a critical role in supporting the Flight Operations leadership team.  This position acts as the liaison between the leadership team of Inflight and Flight Operations and is the central point of contact for DCA crew members in the field.  This individual must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet last minute deadlines and requests.  Additionally, this individual is responsible for providing administrative and office support for multiple team members. This position carries out a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to: communicating via phone and email ensuring that all administrative assistant duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.

·         Provide support to the base and management personnel ensuring they have the resources needed to support the crews
·         Work closely with Directors and Station personnel
·         Collaborate with other departments and station personnel that have a vested interest in DCA station operations
·         Work closely with OCC personnel in daily operations
·         Oversee multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
·         Collaborate on budget planning for Capital and Operation annual budgets for Flight Operations
·         Coordinate special events / meetings for Flight and Inflight leadership team
·         Performs a variety of administrative duties
·         Monitor crew room computers to ensure they are operating properly 
·         Maintains crew room appearance and crew files
·         Valid Driver’s license
·         Serve as a PSA ambassador in the field
·         Provide weekly updates to the Director of Inflight Services
·         Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
 
Competencies and Knowledge: The successful candidate should have demonstrated skills in the following: interpersonal skills:  approachability; performance management; problem solving/analysis; ethical conduct; strong communication (verbal and written); ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment; professional appearance, aptitude; dependability; multi-tasking and adaptability in an aggressive growth environment.
 
Supervisory Responsibility:  This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does act in a surrogate role for the Flight and Inflight Management team to provide guidance and direction to crews as necessary.
 
Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment and in airport terminal with minimal time spent at low activity level, i.e. sitting. 
 
Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job including climbing up and down stairs; frequent standing and walking. Walking is required between all work areas and aircraft.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
 
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:  This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work will vary to meet the needs of the base and operation.  May require long hours including on weekends and holidays.
 
Travel:  Occasionally required
 
Required Education and Experience:  At least one year of related aviation experience is preferred but not required. At least two-five years of experience in an office environment, aviation field desired.  Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office programs with emphasis on Excel.  High school diploma or equivalent required;
 
Security Clearance:  All employees are required to pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49CFR1542.209.
