Job Description

Overview:

  • Works with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements. Analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Supports fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle. Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.

Qualifications 

Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • This position requires an active, final Secret Security Clearance.
  • This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. 
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Assets:

  • Two or more years experience  performing laboratory tests to ensure system designs and software meet operational and functional requirements.

 

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 2:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
