Role Summary:
In this role, you will: be provided with the authority to act on behalf of a delegating organization to verify the release of products without additional oversight from the delegating organization. Your job is to always protect the customer.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Product release activity (a distinct verification conducted independent from final inspection to ensure the purchase order requirements have been met and to authorize shipment of the product to the delegating organization)

* Verify compliance with the customer’s requirements

* Verify supplier documentation

* Check documentation (from Purchase Order to Certificate of Conformity)

* Visual inspection (marking, appearance, condition) as allowed by customer

* Check dimensional characteristics

* Ensure that the FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) has been approved by the customer

* Record inspection operations in log

* Declare and document any non-conformity

* Make proposals to the quality department regarding product quality

* Communicate with contacts such as internal personnel, customers, suppliers and regulatory personnel

* Complete checks of previously identified non-conformities

* Verify packaging requirements

* Check documentation for each shipment (router, etc.)

* Review Certificate of Conformity before stamping

Qualifications/Requirements:

* High School Diploma / GED

* Five (5) years of experience as a Final Inspector

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

* Pass the FAA background check

* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

* Computer proficient (Microsoft Office, ERP System, and other applications)

* Demonstrate highest moral, ethical and legal standards

* Good communication skills

* Interpret technical drawings and specifications

Desired Characteristics:

* Ability to complete the SAE International AS13001 Delegated Product Release Verification Training Requirements and AS9117 Delegated Product Release Verification (recurring requirement)
