About The Job

This job is a member of the Technical Operations Team within the Integrated Operations Division. This Position will be responsible for designing and developing training programs using Instructional Systems Design principles in support of the American Airlines’ technical training program. Working collaboratively with training management, business customers, instructional staff and subject matter experts to understand customer training needs and create effective, skills based training solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* ​Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Systems Design, Training/Curriculum Development, Education, Organizational Development or a related field or equivalent experience/training3 or more years curriculum development experience

* Practical experience using ISD principles and the ADDIE process to include adult learning theories, interactive training and learning design, and e-learning design principles

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Instructional Systems Design, Training/Curriculum Development, Education, Organizational Development or a related field

* Experience with web-development, including programming languages such as Javascript and HTML, strongly preferred

* Association for Talent Development (ATD) and Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) certification

* Previous project management experience

* Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) related to packaging and uploading training content

* Ability to build interpersonal relationships and foster an environment of working together

* Ability to concurrently handle multiple responsibilities and projects

* Proficient in MS Office, Macromedia and Adobe products

* Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
