Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in business or related subject or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Fifteen years of materials experience with expertise in project, supply chain, integrated logistics, strategic planning/scheduling, material requirements planning, budget, operations and administrative management.
Directly responsible for strategic and tactical Leadership and direction of the Materials functions to include the planning, organizing and implementation of the technological infrastructure required to optimize the Supply Chain Management process to include: Production Control, Sourcing and Management of Supplier Managed Inventory, Sourcing and Management of Transportations, to include Imports and Exports for all Initial Phase Manufacturing and Flight Test. This position is also responsible for mail services across the Organization. Developing a Materials Operational Plan that supports achieving corporate goals and objectives with focus on optimizing ROI, cash flow, meeting operational needs and providing flexibility to adjust based on market demands. Lead the integration and stabilization of SAP ERP into the Logistics Organization.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: 1. Developing budgets and strategies in support of corporate goals and objectives that are flexible based on demand. 2. Developing strategic relationships with key customers and aligning Materials strategies, goals and objectives with theirs. 3. Developing strategic relationships with key suppliers that encourage new partnerships and advancements in material management. 4. Developing and implementing effective policies. 5. Directing material activities through local non-profit organizations. 6. Creating an environment of continuous improvement and implementation of best practices. 7. Growing a productive group of diverse individuals with unique and difference skills and responsibilities. 8. Developing Career Development Plans with employees. 9. Developing a Business Continuity Plan that minimizes loss of critical business functions recovery and costs. 10. Participating on new product developments programs for the future. 11. Setting the standard for excellence. 12. Sourcing and managing transportations systems.
Other Requirements: 1. A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer. 2. Minimum five years experience with SAP leading a Material Planning and Logistics team during the configuration, implementation and validation of an ERP solution preferred. 3. Comprehensive understanding of the principles and elements of Supply Chain Management including planning, production control, purchasing, sourcing and supply, logistics and inventory management), cost management (including cash flow generation, cost/benefit analysis, product costing, and asset management), and project management (including the components of a complex manufacturing operation). 4. Well-versed/knowledgeable in FAA regulations, quality procedures, material handling standards, governmental regulations and interpretation related to imports and export of material and aircraft, Department of Transportation regulation requirements, both domestic and international, and international conversion of weights, measures and monetary exchanges. 5. Leadership skills such as the ability to create a long-range strategic vision and to persevere and carry the organization to the fulfillment of the mission; ability to think strategically and execute tactically; ability to lead change and adapt in a dynamic environment of growth; team building skills. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical/decision making skills; active listening, planning, organizing and negotiating skills.
