Job Description

Job Purpose

Leads a team of highly-skilled professionals who are responsible for the design, development, and implementation of network planning systems which requires collaboration with the Technology and Operations Research teams.  Responsible for the development and implementation of network optimization tools..

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and creates tools, systems and models to support the overall Network Planning team which enhance network optimization, long term analysis and schedule changes
  • Build a team which leverages and standardizes data analytics
  • Leads and develops a team of 4 managers and their respective analysts
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to implement systems and tools to improve schedule production
  • Collaborates within network planning to identify opportunities and implement new tools that enables execution
  • Works as a single team with the Information Technology Department and the Operations Research Department to achieve common business objectives
  • Builds and manages relationships with external vendors and Joint Business partners
  • Prepares and develops presentations to further support future Network Planning initiatives
  • Completes other duties as required

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, Transportation or equivalent experience / training
  • 5 years’ experience in revenue management, operations research, IT, network planning, or related airline field

 

Preferred Qualifications

•             Master’s degree in Business, Operations Research, Computer Science,  Data Analysis, Aviation Management, Transportation or equivalent experience / training

•             7 to 10 years’ experience in revenue management, operations research, IT, network planning, or related airline field

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Skills in manager/analyst development
  • Skills in presentation development and delivery
  • Skills in working collaboratively on large, cross-departmental projects with multiple and often conflicting objectives
  • Ability to manage highly analytical and technical teams
  • Ability to adapt to new ideas and approaches and lead others to do the same
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels both verbally and written
