Director - QA and Testing

Job Summary: Drive the creation of an enterprise wide testing shared service utility (TSSU), servicing the company's QA/testing needs. The target organization will be comprised of approximately x FTEs in end state.
Lead the adoption of the TSSU across all business units within Delta with a target completion of end 2017.
Establish and refine standardized testing/QA processes which support regulatory requirements, industry best practices and provide a solid foundation across the company.
Drive a testing tools consolidation strategy across the company which maximizes the buying power of the company with existing tools investments.
Drive 35% efficiency of testing services within the TSSU compared with baseline testing costs. Migrate testing work from a Time & Materials (T&M) model into a managed services construct.
Implement organizational model and engagement processes to support business units transitioning into the TSSU.
Provide strong monitoring and oversight of a distributed }

Candidate should have deep hands on practitioner's knowledge of the full ADM lifecycle, having grown up practicing these competencies in a large global and complex organization.
He/she should have proven track record and successful experience leading large testing teams in such an organization delivering both horizontally at an enterprise level and vertically aligned to a specific Line of Business.
He/she should have successfully led and implemented organizational and testing practice transformation initiatives for large organizations 
Candidate should have then evolved into building and operating large scale shared service functions like testing, production support, program/change management, strategy, and emerging technologies (online/mobile).
Experience in He/she will bringing significant program and cultural change management experience and have process reengineering for large delivery teams using six sigma, LEAN, CMMi.
Candidate must be comfortable optimizing a global delivery footprint with a heterogeneous resource model combining the best elements of offshore, nearshore, onshore in an employee:contractor:captive:3rd party mix.
Possess excellent influencing skills, demonstrated experience navigating large organizations.
Strong experience in managing upstream, lateral as well as downstream resources to ensure successful implementation of organizational and process changes
Ability to clearly communicate and provide direction and road map for the QA & Testing organization transformation
Must have the ability to discern an approach and implementation strategy for organizational and testing practice changes that considers practicality versus simply academic methods
Must be abreast with latest testing technology, tools, techniques, and strategies. Familiarity with the following is desired:

- HP Testing tools - Quality Center, Business Process Test, Unified Functional Test, Performance Center
- Testing efficiency tools that cover test case optimization, test data management, service virtualization, mobile device test automation

Must be accountable, open, positive, a good listener, flexible, collaborative, creative, be an enabler and driver for practical changes
