We are looking for a Division Controller to lead corporate reporting and analysis primarily for Operations departments at Hawaiian Airlines.
Position Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with key business partners, both within the Division and Finance
Responsible for preparation of the annual budget for assigned departments, including creating budget models and incorporating changes in assumptions and business strategies; Assist with developing presentation decks for senior officer reviews and approvals
Actively work with departments to understand changes in business and financials and update forecasts as required; Maintain budgets and forecasts in the financial systems
Oversee the reporting of monthly budget variance packets and utilize financial information and business metrics to develop reports and presentations for senior management
Assist with Business Case preparation and provide guidance through approvals process
Provide financial and accounting guidance and assistance to department leaders, including preparation of ad hoc reports and analyses as required; Ensure department spend is disciplined and within budget/forecast
Responsible for understanding the business strategies, operations and initiatives of assigned departments and ensuring proper accounting is applied; Responsible for ensuring changes in plans are properly valued and included in the budget/forecast in a timely manner
Collaborate with Project Managers on project cost tracking for significant investments to ensure expenditures are within approved budget and benefits are realized
Understand financial commitments of assigned departments and ensure accounting is applied appropriately; Ensure proper inclusion and valuation of commitments for budgetary and forecasting purposes
Responsible for analysis of department financial performance and providing suggestions for improvement
Manage and support month-end closing process and review monthly accrual account reconciliations
Lead, coach and develop Division Accountant(s)

Requirements
Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience
5 years work related experience with emphasis in accounting/finance
Experience managing, leading and developing a team
Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
Strong analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
