Delex Systems is seeking a Document Control/Registry Specialist for a position at our JBAB location. Primary Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include: * Provide Visitor Control services, including processing and badging for visitors, and escorting personnel in the facility. • Perform Courier duties, including receiving mail and mail pick-up and delivery at post office. Prepare courier letters for approval, and verify authorization to courier documents. Establish and maintain courier letter logs and prepare yearly updates as necessary. * Perform Document Control functions, to include: Coordinate with security officers to verify authorization to take property off-station, and complete U.S. property pass processing as well as establish and maintain property pass custody logs. * Provide correspondence control, maintain correspondence records, and implement procedures to issue and maintain blocks of document serial numbers as required. Enter and extracts data from database for incoming and outgoing documents and media. * Prepares packages including; bar coding and wrapping for in-house archiving and external mail. Maintain files for external and internal receipts * Assist with document and inventory control requirements such as conducting annual inventories, preparing cover sheets, maintaining databases, and performing bar-coding tasks. * Conduct and document destruction of classified material in accordance with instructions and facility guidelines. Prepare and file certificates of destruction. * Conduct annual inventories of accountable materials, documents and media. * May serve in the following roles: Data Transfer Agent, COMSEC Custodian, and/or Top Secret Control Officer/Media Control. * Perform backup duties to the Security Administrative Assistant, as needed. Education and Experience Requirements -Top Secret Clearance with SCI -High School Diploma or equivalent. -Two years’ experience in a DoD security environment (Military, Govt Civilian, or DoD contractor). -DSS Academy formal training can be submitted for 1 year of experience. -Working knowledge of Security manuals, directives, and Executive Orders (NISPOM, JAFAN Series, etc.) -Working knowledge of document control software, such as iSMS or SIMS. -Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office applications. -Must be able to move or lift 25 pounds. -Must be able to safely operate document destruction equipment and work in close proximity to magnetic degaussing equipment.
