As a Systems and Software Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) team member, the candidate will review technical documentation reflecting many levels of requirements definition and specification characterization. Examples of documents include: Weapon System Specifications; Interface Design Documents; process specifications (DOD5000.02); System Segment Specifications; Source code; Test Procedures for laboratory, ground and flight events; Software Development Plans; Management Plans; users’ manuals; and NATOPS/NATIP manuals.
The successful candidate will review information in support of Test Readiness Reviews, Operational Test Readiness Reviews, Systems Requirements Reviews, Software Specification Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Flight Readiness Reviews, and Test and Evaluation Master Plans. Reviews of lab, ground and flight test data for proper operation and specification compliance and contractual documentation submissions will also be performed.
Education/Experience: A BS or BA Degree is required. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An AS or AA Degree and an additional four (4) years of experience; OR an additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a BS or BA Degree.
Education/experience is a contract requirement.
Minimum Experience Requirement: At least six (6) years of experience in large and complex problems associated to major weapons systems. Demonstrated experience in cost/benefit analysis, quality control, successful completion of critical path events and project tracking. Familiarity with SECNAV, OPNAV and OSD forms related to PPBS and Contract Data Requirements List is required. Significant logistics experience and exposure to acquisition processes required. Experience with IV&V processes and software development processes is desired. Experience specific to the E-2 aircraft is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Applicant must have strong MS Office skills. DOORS experience is required. Minimum of Secret clearance is required.
