This position supports E-2D Integrated Test Team tasking on-base at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, Maryland. The purpose of these aircraft test and evaluation efforts is to quantify system requirements, suitability and effectiveness for the intended mission and/or assess the ability of the system to meet mission objectives.  Significant travel is required. 

This position supports E-2D sensor tracking flight test and evaluation with the following specific tasks:
- Work closely with test aircrew, within the aircrew-engineer team to plan, conduct, analyze, and document system and platform level performance testing of the E-2D sensor tracking and related functions
- Flight test support including test plan preparation, flight/Laboratory/ground test execution, and post-test analysis
- Report writing to include Deficiency Reports, Report of Test Results, and Technical memorandums
- Data analysis to support specification compliance, deficiency identification, and tracking performance.


Education:  A Bachelor's Degree is required.   A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field is desired. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related programs is preferred.

 

Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  A minimum of three (3) years of experience with tactical systems test and evaluation and/or analysis is required.  Knowledge of radar tracking and system interfaces is highly desired. Knowledge of tactical sensors and communications data links is also desired. E-2C/D experience is highly desired.
