Position will directly support the NAVAIR AIR 188.8.131.52 Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Branch with respect to Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Test and Evaluation (T&E). Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate Naval airborne platforms, weapons, and avionics with respect to intrasystem and intersystem EMC. Attends preliminary, critical and other design reviews to ensure EMC T&E requirements are properly defined. Reviews and prepares EMC T&E engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation in the evaluation of aircraft and systems EMC. Analyzes designs, develops and implements tests, and evaluates aircraft, systems, automated data processing software of military systems and associated support systems, and management informational systems for determination of EMC.
Education/Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from a school of engineering which was accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and five (5) years of professional engineering experience is required. At least four (4) years of the experience shall have consisted of performing engineering functions with respect to aircraft E3 systems engineering and/or EMC T&E.
Education/Experience is a contract requirement.
